From design mandate to manufacture, the MT80 has benefited from the extensive GP experience of our engineering team. The MT80 is competition ready and delivers class-leading mid-range torque that carries on through the rev range.
This mid-range power and excellent overrev characteristics allow the use of a 4 speed gearbox which enhances the experience for entry level riders.
Our engineers selected the 2-stroke engine
type for its low weight & inherent ease of serviceability.

NOT JUST A LEARNER-FRIENDLY BIKE
Internally, the MT80 engine is essentially a scaled down GP design.
The componentry is race derived, and incredibly strong. Attention to the weight of the engine’s rotating components enables the MT80 to accelerate like a race machine.
There is also the opportunity to extract a great deal more power
from the engine. |

Mira Motorcycles will release a factory race kit for the MT80, consisting of a new cylinder, pipe, and reprogrammed ignition unit.
